Beyoncé & Justin: An Education

Last week, I'm minding my own business at home, innocently surfing wedding stuff on Pinterest, when James makes the following comment, "Well, even Beyoncé and Justin Timberlake weren't Beyoncé and Justin Timberlake before they broke out from the groups. They were just in the group, you know? They broke out and then they became stars." Acca-scuse me?? Initiate 90's pop education for this uninformed hetero male. We watched Beyoncé steal the show in Destiny's Child videos and then, for good measure, we tallied the number of times Justin was the front-and-center bro in *NSYNC music videos. Hint: It was pretty much all of them. At the end of the day, I stood victorious. Beyoncé and Justin didn't just go solo. It can't just happen to anybody in the group. Duh. It's like some people wasted their youths on biology experiments and spelunking expeditions instead of the obviously important topic of popstars' paths to success.

Sarah :: Plucky in Love

Sarah, aka "Plucky", blogs on the reg, unless she's on vacation or there's a Pretty Little Liars marathon or she's mulling over the implications of the phrase "on fleek." She can't live without iced coffee, a portable phone charger, or equal pay. Say hello!

  3. Ugh, does James even know anything?! Did he love under a rock in the 90s?! (Just kidding, I didn't know about Yonce until she was Yonce because I was uneducated. But I did know JT. Because he had a whiny voice. BRB listening to NSYNC all day now.)

    1. Sometimes I wonder if he's even from this planet. More often than not, actually.
