“And I got out of there without punching anyone, kicking anyone, or breaking down in tears. Some days the small victories are all you achieve.” ― Molly Ringle

You know those times when you've been trying forever to figure something out and it's just not happening? Like, hours of a day, and then maybe days of a week. And the next thing you know, it's well over a month later and you are completely avoiding that thing because it's impossible and you've tried and it's just not happening and WHY IS THIS SO HARD. You, if you're like me, have your wrinkly ostrich head so far in the sand that you're half way to China but that's okay as long as you don't have to face that beast and try to slay it. Again. But then, you give it another go. And, like, 10 seconds into this go-round - TA DA - solved! What?! Brains are weird. So are problems. And perspectives. You might think this is a metaphor but really I was struggling with a web design issue for the last several weeks and last night I begrudgingly opened the project and within, like, 10 seconds it was all good. Weird.

UPDATE: I'm logging miles again! Hooray! I pushed too hard on a run a couple of weeks ago so I've been taking it reallllll easy. With the warmer weather this week, I have no excuse not to make it happen. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS SUPPORTED ST JUDE THROUGH THIS RUN. Still half way to goal! Would love to see more states represented!!

Sarah :: Plucky in Love

Sarah, aka "Plucky", blogs on the reg, unless she's on vacation or there's a Pretty Little Liars marathon or she's mulling over the implications of the phrase "on fleek." She can't live without iced coffee, a portable phone charger, or equal pay. Say hello!

  2. The feeling when that thing just clicks though and the problem is solved instantly is better than ANYTHING!
