Top 100 Reads :: Birdsong

We've done it! Conquered another novel from the Top 100!

Birdsong by Sebastian Faulks is a powerful novel about a solder's experience in WWI and the woman he loves back home. I had no idea what I was getting into when I started this one...

The 5 second review:

Find my full review on LibraryThing here. The graphic nature of war was so well laid out in this novel and I felt moved for the men who experienced it. Definitely feeling a new appreciation for those who serve and have served for their countries. What an incredible gift these men and women give us. To all Veterans, thank you.

Next up: Rereading Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery

Our third grade teacher, Mrs. Ridge, read this to our class when I was 8. That may be the last time I read the book all the way through. Looking forward to this one! Here's hoping I have a review of it for you by next Tuesday!

Sarah :: Your Plucky Picaroon

What are you reading?

Sarah :: Plucky in Love

Sarah, aka "Plucky", blogs on the reg, unless she's on vacation or there's a Pretty Little Liars marathon or she's mulling over the implications of the phrase "on fleek." She can't live without iced coffee, a portable phone charger, or equal pay. Say hello!
