It's Saturday. Relax. Recharge. Re-be-awesome.

What are you up to this fine Saturday? Feeling bored, stressed, or exhausted?
I have a better idea [or 5].

{::} Watch Saturday Morning Cartoons
You'll feel like a kid again...and probably start craving Cinnamon Toast Crunch and a new action figure on commercial breaks, but hey! That's all part of the fun!

{::} Take a bubble bath
Who has time for baths anymore? Not this girl. I actually find them kind of icky as a means of cleanliness. But as a tool for relaxation? A hot bath is a close second to owning an in-home jacuzzi. Turn on a playlist of some of your favorite jams, lock the bathroom door, and make yourself a bubble beard, girlfriend.

{::} Slather up
I have become obsessed with Coconut Lime Breeze lotion from BBW these days! My bestie brought me a bottle of it when she visited a couple of weeks ago and I canNOT get enough. Nothing takes me on a five minute vacation like (1) actually taking the time to pamper myself by applying lotion to any body part other than my hands and (2) that heavenly scent. I encourage you to smear your favorite body schmear.

{::} Eat cereal
Yes, it's full of carbs and sugars and milk is fatty and you'll want at least 2 bowls of Lucky Charms before it's all said and done. All of this is true. Do it anyway. Breakfast bars, breakfast shakes, diet breakfast menus, Whole 30 and Paleo and all of that aside, something about a big bowl of not-so-healthy cereal on Saturday morning just makes life feel right again, don't you think?

{::} Do your thing
When was the last time you worked on your knitting / sewing project / getting caught up with your favorite tv show? 3 months ago? You're one of the lucky ones. Most of us forget to make ourselves a priority. If you LOVE doing something, then it's important. It doesn't really matter what it is [unless it's illegal or immoral or something of that nature. let's keep it within reason here], YOU SHOULD DO IT. For your sanity and for the safety those around you, make some you time today. 10 minutes of yoga or walking or reading the novel you've been working at for ages isn't 'wasting time' or 'being selfish.' You have to love you. You just have to.

Happy Weekend!

What are your Saturday guilty pleasures?

Sarah :: Plucky in Love

Sarah, aka "Plucky", blogs on the reg, unless she's on vacation or there's a Pretty Little Liars marathon or she's mulling over the implications of the phrase "on fleek." She can't live without iced coffee, a portable phone charger, or equal pay. Say hello!
