Rant of the Day :: Moving Out

I'd just like to go on the record to say that these women have never moved out of an apartment before or they wouldn't look so gosh darn happy to be painting and scrubbing bathtubs and vacuuming every conceivable surface and bleaching the entire kitchen spotless.
Just sayin'.

Now, that being said, I think today is FINALLY the last day of moving!! Hooray!! Hoorah!! After work, I'll be finishing up the final touches: a wall and a half to repaint back to white, a butt load of vacuuming, a bit of sweeping, and a wipe down of all counter tops, appliances (oven?? ugh), and windows and we're in the clear! Hallelujah.

Hope you're hanging in there, my plucky piquettes. I know it's time for finals and holiday preparations and switching out our closets into full-on winter mode and making time for friends and family and throwing out eggnog that you forgot to drink before the expiration date. I know. It's a busy time. Keep your chin up! Whatever it is that seems overwhelming, just think of me, up to my elbows in primer and paint, and smile at your good fortune to not be doing the same. :)

Have a great week, kiddos!

Sarah :: Plucky in Love

Sarah, aka "Plucky", blogs on the reg, unless she's on vacation or there's a Pretty Little Liars marathon or she's mulling over the implications of the phrase "on fleek." She can't live without iced coffee, a portable phone charger, or equal pay. Say hello!

  1. Good luck with all the moving out!!!

  2. Oh good luck! Moving sucks but, you know, the best part about it is you are sort of forced to do a major purge and cleansing of your belongings. I have an aunt and uncle who moved regularly (nearly every year... he was an architect) and she would always tell me it was the best thing in the world because they would never keep any junk and they just redecorated each time.

    Ahhh.... to be rich and hire movers, haha!

  3. Ahhh I know EXACTLY what you mean. The past two days I've been going through my entire room (23 years worth of crap) and trying to get down to the bare minimum that I can haul with my in my car with my dog...clear across the country. "overwhelming" is an understatement. I can't wait for us to be in our awesome new places, STAT!
