Weekend Recap :: Color Run, Brothers of the Sun, and The Dress Dare

What an absolutely fabulous weekend!
Just in case you've been living under a cyber rock this summer and missed the craze sweeping the nation, The Color Run (happiest 5k on the planet) came through Indianapolis this weekend and we showed up for the fun!

At the beginning of the race, everyone is a big white blob.

But by the end of the race, well...

Absolute favorite shot from the entire experience!! Yeah, Color Run!

Hold onto your butts, though, because Saturday isn't over yet.

Off to the mall for Currito Burrito for lunch. Yum yum in my tum-tum. Then, home to nap for an hour or so before

Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney in Concert! Aaaaah!

I am a nice girl. I'd like to say I rock a decent set of morals but I have to tell you: Everything in my body was screaming that home-wrecking may not be the worst thing in the world when it comes to Tim McGraw in those tight white jeans. mmMMMMmmmm. He was scrumptious. :)

The concert rocked on for 6 whole hours. Woooohooo! The two 50-year-old best friends in front of us clapped and waved and danced for the entire 6 hours. Impressive, to say the least. Drunk girls were passed out in stadium chairs while their boyfriends pretended to like hokie country music sung by men in the tightest of tight jeans. And Kenny and Tim sang straight to us in our balcony, stage left seats, as was to be expected.

Sunday afternoon, I hitched up the wagon (also known as an adorable little black Mazda 3 w/ sunroof feature, whichever you prefer) and headed to the Hills of Brown County. Monica and I had our first photo shoot for The Dress Dare! Appropriately enough, we chose Happy Hollow Camp as our first location, where she and I met as counselors so many summers ago. Our fabulous friend, AG, took the photos and my little sister Hannah held the mirror and the bottled water and pulled branches out of the shot and pretty much made herself essential to future shoots. I cannot wait to see the photos!

3 full hours of posing and climbing and barefooting and smiling or gazing off into the distance. There may have even been some stripping to change behind barns and a bit of sunburn for good measure.

Let's just say this was more than necessary.
All in all, a smashing success!
Now, I'm back to the grind. Enjoying my lunch break for Internship Hours at Brooke's Place. Girls' night with Leslie and Jilly on Tuesday. Coffee with Pri after work on Wednesday and then off to Chicago Thursday evening to spend the weekend with the ever-fabulous Ms. Cassie B!

Remember this time last week when I was griping about my life? Yeah. Reach back in time and slap me, please. This just keeps getting better. ♥

Happy Monday, loves!
