Life is good.

Life is so good right now.
First semester of grad school is winding down, and I think I might survive. I might even get decent grades.
Thanksgiving is coming up, which is really the most exciting thing a girl could ask for this time of year.
I think I might have a bit of a crush developing. What can I say? I'm a sucker for souvenir key chains. :)
I got the fabric for all the Christmas presents I'm making! And my new camera finally came! Living life camera-less is ... well, excruciating. You might expect a bit of a barrage of photos in the near future. The double whammy of new camera + holiday season = buckets and barrels and baskets of photos (metaphorically, digitally speaking, of course).
I got to see (and meet!) Jon McLaughlin yesterday. /le sigh What a cutie. And he plays piano? Be still my heart. Never mind that whole "He's married" thing. Minor, insignificant detail.
Super busy at the museum today. I don't know what it is about cold weather but it brings people out in droves on the museum-front.
Looking forward to Friendsgiving tomorrow at LeCuma's! I will be preparing 10 LBS of mashed potatoes for the occasion. Yikes! Hope the boys bring their appetites.
New roommate is going well. Things are a little topsy turvy in her personal life, but she's 22, so who's love life is perfect at our age anyway? She's home quite a bit more than I'm used to in a roomie, but I like it! She helped me dye my hair and we went grocery shopping together and ... well, I won't go into an Elf-like rant about holding hands and eating cookie dough, but you get the picture.
Ralph is growing like a weed. He is into ev.er.y.thing. Everything in the apartment is his. It is his toy or his perch or his hiding place or his next meal. He is a mad man. We are still adjusting. I like him a whole lot better when he's not tripping me, weaving in and out under my feet, whilst I attempt to get ready for work in the mornings. Otherwise, we're pretty much golden.
The internet is working at home again! The repair guy took one look at my setup and said, "I can tell you your problem right now. You've got a bad modem." I've only had the thing for 2 years. He says it's of a particular serial number series that they are supposed to be replacing. He didn't have a replacement in his truck, so he brought me a modem/wireless router combo, installed it, and told me that if I was surveyed or asked, he never came inside or they'd charge me $100.  What a nice guy. He gives me such a better feeling about my internet provider than the waiting on hold for 1.5 hours each time I call tech support does.
So, this is my life in a nutshell right now. Busy - yes. Chaotic - slightly. Challenging - occasionally. Wonderful - absolutely. :)

Sarah :: Plucky in Love

Sarah, aka "Plucky", blogs on the reg, unless she's on vacation or there's a Pretty Little Liars marathon or she's mulling over the implications of the phrase "on fleek." She can't live without iced coffee, a portable phone charger, or equal pay. Say hello!
